Out-of-the-Box Events:
Annual Derby Day party, online fundraising tournament, cocktail parties
hosted by members, poker nights, educational forums, food and wine tours,
site visits…an array of events that allow members to get involved, get to
know other people, and get ideas about how to make a difference.
Kids’/ Family Site Visits:
Twice a year, members are invited to bring their children to a
behind-the-scenes tour of nonprofits in Chester County. The events are
designed to educate children ages 3 – 18 and their parents about local needs
and the nonprofits that are working to meet those needs.
Imprints Advisors Group:
Members form year-long Advisors Groups with a circle of peers who select a
nonprofit to adopt for the year. Members provide pro bono strategic
consulting for the year in such areas as executive coaching, leadership
development, financial planning, human resource management, and technology.
Giving Circle:
Members
pool their donated money and decide collectively how to distribute it in the
form of grants. Members choose from a range of giving circle options that
best meet the individual’s capacity to give and interest area, and meet two
times a year over dinner to make personal connections and set priorities for
the fund. In return, members have the opportunity to increase the impact of
their gift, to engage with like-minded peers, and to access knowledge about
local nonprofits to enhance the strategic outcome of the gift.
Each Giving Circle also decides what portion of its annual pooled donations
are allocated to an endowed fund, so sustainable legacy funds begin to be
established to create capital assets to benefit the community forever.
Emerging Leaders Program:
Members are invited to small networking events to meet with friends of the
Chester County Community Foundation who are established in their careers and
are models for contributing to the community. Members are offered trainings
about nonprofits, how to serve on a nonprofit Board of Directors, and
different methods and strategies of giving. Members in their second year
have the opportunity to be matched with senior-level executives who offer
career and philanthropic advice.
