THOROUGHBRED EDUCATION AND RESEARCH FOUNDATION AWARDS $5,000 GRANT TO MIDATLANTIC HORSE RESCUE FOR THOROUGHBRED CLINICS

September 13, 2024 The Thoroughbred Education and Research Foundation (TERF) is pleased to award $5,000 to the MidAtlantic Horse Rescue Inc. (MAHR) for Thoroughbred-only clinics. MAHR’s mission is to rescue Thoroughbreds from feed lots and kill pens and transition horses directly off the track. After quarantine and careful evaluation, horses are adopted into loving homes as sport horses and pets. In alignment with their mission to support and promote equine education by supporting organizations that are educating the public on the proper care of horses, TERF offers their financial assistance. THOROUGHBRED EDUCATION AND RESEARCH FOUNDATION AWARDS $10,000 TO BELMONT CHILDCARE ASSOCIATION, INC.

August 15, 2024 The Thoroughbred Education and Research Foundation (TERF) is pleased to award the Belmont Childcare Association, Inc. (BCCA) $10,000 to be used for BCCA’s early childhood education program. The mission of the BCCA is to provide a safe, supportive, and academically inspiring environment for the children of parents working in the Thoroughbred racing backstretch area located at New York’s historic Belmont Park, Aqueduct Racetrack, and Saratoga Racecourse.
