We are excited to be hosting the 22nd annual Little Lincoln Gettysburg Address Competition on the steps of the Historic Chester County Courthouse on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 11am.
Please note: In previous years the Little Lincolns competition was held off the balcony of the historic Lincoln Building. The venue has changed to the Historic Chester County Courthouse this year.
Come support middle schoolers from across the county as they put on their best Lincoln attire and recite the Gettysburg Address. The purpose of this event is to encourage youth, their families, and their friends to become more involved in the community around them, and more deeply appreciate local history. The Little Lincolns Competition is part of the line-up for the first-ever Chester County Hospital Lights Up Holiday Weekends in West Chester. The Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce is reimagining what the holidays mean this year. Transforming into a winter wonderland, the streets of historic West Chester will be bathed in the glow of thousands of holiday lights every evening from November 26 to January 1.
