“You have to be happy every second you breathe.” – Karrli
About Karrlin and this Foundation…
The scholarship is named in honor of Karrlin Field, a prospective student at UAT, who passed away in 2004 at the age of 17 due to the effects of cystic fibrosis. Karrli, as she was known to friends and family, was like many UAT students. An intelligent, passionate young woman, Karrli was an aspiring writer and artist, and dreamed of a career as a game designer. Unfortunately, she would never attend UAT. Her memory lives on in the Karrlin Field Scholarship.
Women pursuing an education in computer game development and design at the University of Advancing Technology in Tempe, Arizona (UAT) are eligible for a scholarship created just for them: The Karrlin Field Memorial Scholarship will award $1,000 towards tuition and other expenses to one student each semester.
