Imagine sampling the region’s most delectable desserts while meeting and greeting community members, philanthropists, and friends. Chester County’s finest dessert chefs will showcase their delectable creations on Tuesday, March 28 at a new mission-focused venue, the Chester County Food Bank. Attendees have the opportunity to sample delicious desserts while celebrating legacy philanthropy with the Chester County Community Foundation.
Sweet Charity is a tasty night out for a good cause, but it is also a serious dessert competition. Dessert chefs compete for Most Popular Dessert, Best Dessert, Most Creative Dessert, and Healthiest Dessert. Guests vote for Most Popular, while a professional panel of judges deliberate on the other categories.
This year’s participants will be Arianna’s Gourmet Café, Buttercup Baking Co., Cakes & Candies by Maryellen, Cookie Dope, Delaware County Community College, Dragonfly Catering, John Serock Catering, New Street Catering, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Robert Ryan Catering & Design, The Master’s Baker, and Whitford Country Club. Winners from the 2022 event included The Master’s Baker for Most Popular Dessert, John Serock Catering for Best Dessert, and Whitford Country Club for Most Creative.

Sweet Charity benefits the Chester County Community Foundation, which has been growing legacy philanthropy throughout the region for almost 30 years. The Community Foundation helps families and businesses become involved in charitable giving for the long run, by encouraging legacy gifts and increasing awareness of the needs and issues facing Chester County.
