(West Chester, PA – August 15, 2018): This September, nonprofit board and staff members are invited “Back to School” to join the Chester County Community Foundation’s Board Trustee Institute. This program will take place on Saturday, September 29 at 8:30 a.m. at the West Chester University Graduate Business Center.
Developing an effective board is essential for the success of any nonprofit organization. It is vital to cultivate board members’ understanding of all aspects of nonprofit leadership. By doing this, board members are able to direct their nonprofit to achieve their mission. The Institute for Board Trustees offers workshops on topics ranging from board leadership, recruitment, and fundraising, to IRS and legal obligations, strategic planning and more. There will be roundtables for discussion and peer to peer learning between board members and nonprofit leaders, as well as presentations from experts on nonprofit board development fields.
Registration is limited. The cost varies based on number of attendees: the more board members in a team, the lower the cost is. Registration includes continental breakfast, boxed lunch and handouts. To register or for more information on agenda, speakers or topics, please visit www.chescocf.org, or call (610) 696-8211. Registration begins at 8:30 am and the program concludes at 1:30pm.
