Chester County Juneteenth Planning Partners aims to enlighten, elevate, and commemorate the end of African American slavery. Our goal is to enrich and educate the entire community on the significance of Juneteenth. All these are essential as we continue Journeying Towards Freedom and equity for all.
Juneteenth Planning Partners are working diligently to create an exciting and robust line-up of events, including family activities, focused on journeying towards freedom. During 2024, Juneteenth activities are being planned for the whole week throughout Chester County.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- African American History Heritage Tours
- African American Art Shows, Readings, Poetry, Choirs, Dance and Theatre
- Discovering Your Roots & Tracing Your Ancestry
- Freedom Festivals
- NAACP Juneteenth Flag Raising Ceremonies
- Journeying Towards Freedom & Equity for All Keynote Speakers
- Journeying Towards Freedom & Equity for All Religious Services
