The purpose of The Jeremy P. Wilson Foundation is to honor Jeremy’s love of learning by enabling other students to pursue higher education, and his love of life by helping to promote and fund childhood cancer research, giving other children better treatment options and HOPE for a cure.

BACKGROUND

The Jeremy P. Wilson Foundation awards an annual scholarship in memory of Great Valley Middle School student Jeremy Peter Wilson, who lost his battle with childhood cancer in 2008 at age 11 ½. Jeremy would have been a very proud member of the Great Valley High School Class of 2015.
Jeremy fought his disease with great strength, grace, courage, and determination, always maintaining his wonderful, positive, goal-seeking attitude and keeping his beautiful smile intact. He lived his 11 ½. years to the fullest. Jeremy was a very special and remarkable boy, who truly loved his family, friends, school and life itself. Jeremy has become a true inspiration to everyone who knew him, even those who have only heard his story.
In honor of the GVHS Class of 2024, a scholarship of $1,000 will be awarded to an eligible senior from Great Valley High School whose application, essay and circumstances are the most compelling, best written and greatly reflect how Jeremy’s legacy has impacted his or her love of life, learning and future plans.
