Mission Statement

The Nicholas MacElree Memorial Fund was established by Betty and Tony Morris in 2005 in honor of Nick, who was a member of the class of 1971 at Gettysburg College. Nick grew up in Chester Springs, Pennsylvania and graduated from Owen J. Roberts High School. He was elected president of the freshman class at Gettysburg and was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity. With tremendous and loyal support from his family and friends, the fund has grown in size to the extent that it will be able not only to continue awarding scholarships to worthy Gettysburg students in the future, but also to expand the field of good works to which contributions will be made in an effort to continue to shine Nick’s light on the world. In the past annual scholarships were awarded to Gettysburg students in his memory.
