About This Fund
The purpose of the Oxford Outdoor Gallery in Honor of Dave Eldreth Fund (Provisional) and the Eldreth Family Charitable Foundation (Endowed) is to make grant distributions for charitable purposes that support the Oxford Outdoor Gallery project and other charitable causes, as recommended by the Fund Advisors and approved by the Board of the Community Foundation.
About the Oxford Outdoor Gallery Project in Honor of Dave Eldreth Fund
The Oxford Outdoor Gallery was a vision of Dave Eldreth’s to bring attention to the area and promote Oxford as a creative destination by featuring the work of local artists. The vision was to have stretched and framed outdoor canvases of this work displayed on buildings within the town with a gallery quality and appeal. The appearance was designed to be unique and, unlike murals, Dave designed it so it can be easily updated with new artwork every few years to maintain a fresh look and provide opportunities for new talented artists in the community.
It took years of effort and refinement to turn the vision into reality. In 2021, the first painting — one of Dave’s — was displayed for the public to enjoy. Since that first painting was hung, there are now over 15 pieces displayed on buildings within the town. The art features area artists of all ages and allows locals and visitors to see what a creative community they are blessed to be in.

The goal of the Eldreth Family Charitable Foundation is to continue Dave Eldreth’s legacy and vision for the Oxford Outdoor Gallery, so the community can enjoy the work of local artists for many years to come.
