Nonprofit Community Gems

For the Community Foundation’s 25th Anniversary, our Jordan Award honorees have selected their Top 12 favorite Chester County nonprofits. For some background, the Jordan Award was created in 1999 to honor the longstanding commitment to Chester County philanthropy exemplified by Community Foundation founder Dr. Henry A. Jordan and his wife Barbara McNeil Jordan.

In 2019, the Community Foundation will highlight the 12 nonprofits noted below. To get involved, we encourage YOU to attend CCCF sponsored monthly programs, including volunteer opportunities, lectures, site visits, and events at each location. Each nonprofit also received a modest Gift to the Community sponsorship grant, generously donated by Jordan Award honorees at our 2018 Annual Meeting in October.

We’d like to note that there are over 800 registered nonprofit charities in Chester County doing great work in our community. The Chester County Community Foundation urges donors to give time, money, and resources generously and wisely to the causes and organizations that matter most to you!
