THOROUGHBRED EDUCATION AND RESEARCH FOUNDATION AWARDS $16,000 TO WILSON COLLEGE

The Thoroughbred Education and Research Foundation (TERF) is pleased to award Wilson College $16,000 to be used for educational purposes.

Wilson College’s mission is to empower students through an engaged, collaborative, liberal arts education which combines the skills and focused study needed for success in work and life. Through a close, supportive community that develops the mind and character of all students, Wilson College prepares students to meet the challenges of a global society.

Since 2015, 18 students have been awarded TERF scholarships to continue their education.

In alignment with their mission to support and promote equine education by supporting organizations that are educating the public on the proper care of horses, TERF continues to offer their financial assistance in 2020. The scholarship funds will benefit four students in the 2020-21 academic year with the overall goal to help provide equine-related and Veterinary Medical Technology (VMT) majors with the financial resources to complete their education thus giving them the freedom to pursue the full training, service learning opportunities, and extracurricular equine activities available with a Wilson education.

TERF’s grants reflect the values set forth by founders Herb and Ellen Moelis. TERF’s current Board, includes co-Chairs Kathleen Anderson DVM, and James Orsini DVM, Margaret H. Duprey, Gretchen and Roy Jackson, Ellen and Herb Moelis, Wendy Moon, Anita Motion, Toni Orsini, Scott Palmer VMD, Josh Pons and Lucy Zungailia.
