The Thoroughbred Education and Research Foundation is pleased to announce the opening of their 2021 grant awards cycle. With the vision and mission of bettering the life of Thoroughbred, TERF primarily aims to support students in pursuit of education in Equine Medicine and to fund research efforts which better the life of the Thoroughbred horse. The missions and programs of the organizations selected to receive this year’s grant awards will reflect TERF’s strategic focus and vision to support and promote equine education and research. Food for Thought: Sweet Charity Edition (WEST CHESTER, PA – February 8, 2021): Each year the Chester County Community Foundation presents Sweet Charity, Chester County’s signature charitable dessert and networking event. The 2021 event cannot take place in-person due to COVID-19 so the Community Foundation reinvented it as Food for Thought: Sweet Charity. THOROUGHBRED EDUCATION AND RESEARCH FOUNDATION AWARDS $2000 TO MIDATLANTIC HORSE RESCUE

The Thoroughbred Education and Research Foundation (TERF) is pleased to award $2000 to the MidAtlantic Horse Rescue (MAHR) for educational purposes. MAHR’s mission is to rescue thoroughbreds from feed lots and kill pens and transition horses directly off the track. After quarantine and careful evaluation, horses are adopted into loving homes as sport horses and pets. BRINGING “FOOD FOR THOUGHT” TO THE CHESTER COUNTY COMMUNITY Community Conversations on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

(West Chester, PA – January 20, 2021): The Chester County Community Foundation is pleased to announce a social justice program open to community members to engage in meaningful conversations. THOROUGHBRED EDUCATION AND RESEARCH FOUNDATION AWARDS $20,000 TO UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA SCHOOL OF VETERINARY MEDICINE

This image is an example of New Bolton Center’s standing robotic imaging computed tomography (CT) system in action. This system is one of the powerful diagnostic imaging tools being used in the bisphosphonate study, in addition to New Bolton Center’s new standing positron emission tomography (PET) system.
