(PAOLI, PA – May 25, 2022): The Chester County Community Foundation is honoring Outgoing Board Chair Michael DeHaven, CPA and welcoming Incoming Chair Winifred Moran Sebastian, Esq. at Chair’s Choice on Sunday, June 5. Guests are invited to Waynesborough Country Club to enjoy delicious food, wine and beer, beautiful sights, and wonderful company, while also celebrating Community Foundation board leadership. Additional outgoing board members and incoming board members will be recognized and celebrated at the event

Michael DeHaven, CPA is a shareholder with Rainer & Company, an accounting firm that has a longstanding reputation for outstanding professional and community service. Throughout his term as Board Chair, Mike used his personal and professional connections to strengthen and grow legacy philanthropy in Chester County. Mike’s efforts opening the doors to legacy philanthropy earned him a Door Opener Award in 2017, years before he became Chair. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Mike guided the Foundation’s actions and responses, ensuring charitable giving grew in Chester County during a challenging time. Mike is Chair Emeritus of the Chester County Chamber of Business & Industry and he serves on the boards of the Chester County Economic Development Council, Mental Health Partnerships, and the Central and Western Chester County Industrial Development Authority.

Philanthropy is a family effort for the DeHavens. Mike’s wife Kim is a board member for Home of the Sparrow and their three sons – Chris, Colin, and Regan – are all actively involved with community service. The DeHavens make generous grants to local charitable causes through their fund, the DeHaven Family Charitable Fund, and Mike and Kim are members of the Ben Franklin Legacy Society, cementing their desire to make a lasting impact in Chester County.

The Chester County Community Foundation is excited to welcome Winifred Moran Sebastian, Esq. as the Incoming Board Chair. The Community Foundation is confident that Winnie’s expansive experience, strong leadership, and generous heart will lend greatly to her success as Board Chair.

Winnie practices Business, Municipal and Zoning, Real Estate, Trusts and Estates, Wills, and Probates at Lamb McErlane PC in Oxford. Winnie is very active in the community. She is a Fund Advisor for the Randy L. & Winifred Moran Sebastian Scholarship Fund.
