Community Conversations is a county-wide initiative designed to foster meaningful, community-driven discussions around key topics that matter to people who live here. Aligned with the principles of Liberty & Justice for All, this initiative brings people together to engage in thoughtful dialogue, reflect on shared experiences, and explore actionable solutions for a stronger, more connected community.
By partnering with organizations across Chester County, we are creating spaces where people can openly discuss challenges, celebrate diverse perspectives, and build relationships that strengthen civic engagement.
What Does it Mean to Be a Host Organization?
Host organization play a key role in shaping and supporting these conversations. Involvement ensures that discussions reflect the needs and priorities of your community.
Hosts play a critical role in shaping and supporting these conversations. Responsibilities include:
Hosting 4-6 conversations that align with your community’s interests and concerns
Providing a space (physical or virtual) for discussions
Selecting topics that reflect community needs
Promoting the events within your networks
Coordinating logistics (seating, technology, accessibility)
Supporting facilitation (providing a moderator or working with us to assign one)
Gathering feedback through participant surveys
Time Commitment: Each conversation typically lasts 90 minutes and can be structured as a one-time event or as part of an ongoing series.

Facilitation Toolkits – Includes conversation guides, prompts, and best practices for moderating discussions including
Community Agreements, Facilitation guides, Facilitator Onboarding, Timekeeping tips, & Handling Sensitive Topics & Difficult Moments
Promotional Support – Flyers, social media templates, and outreach strategies
Branding Guidelines, Email Templates, & Engagement Strategy
Participant Surveys – Pre-designed tools to collect valuable feedback: Facilitator Reflection Form & Host Org Session Feedback Form
Technical & Logistical Assistance – Help with virtual events or AV setup
Ongoing Support & Check-Ins – Regular touchpoints to ensure a smooth process
