Family Service of Chester County

About

Since 1947, Family Service of Chester County has worked to strengthen individuals and families through counseling, prevention, and supportive services. Our mission is simple yet profound: to provide life-changing support by removing barriers and opening access to mental health care and social services.

We serve thousands of Chester County residents each year, with a focus on those who are most vulnerable—low-income families, children, adults, and individuals facing overlapping challenges such as trauma, stigma, and financial hardship. Our core programs include professional counseling, HIV/AIDS case management, child abuse prevention, family strengthening initiatives, and housing stability support.

For funders, the impact extends far beyond individual services. Investment in Family Service drives health equity, economic mobility, family stability, and safer, more resilient communities. Every dollar helps people not only access care, but also achieve better relationships, stronger educational outcomes, and greater independence.
