(BCCA) $10,000 to further education of young children and provide support for parents with equine careers. THOROUGHBRED EDUCATION AND RESEARCH FOUNDATION AWARDS $10,000 TO MARYLAND HORSE INDUSTRY FOUNDATION

January 2, 2020 The Thoroughbred Education and Research Foundation (TERF) is pleased to award Maryland Horse Industry Foundation (MHIF) $10,000 for educational purposes. MHIF was chartered in 1988 by the Maryland Horse Breeders Association (MHBA) to serve various educational and charitable needs of the Maryland horse industry. MHIF supports a number of programs and is responsible for the maintenance and expansion of the Maryland Horse reference library. In 2018, TERF generously supported MHIF in launching their first Work Experience Program. This program allowed four individuals to gain valuable work experience. HISTORY IN THE MAKING: 21st Annual Little Lincoln Gettysburg Address Contest

(WEST CHESTER, PA – December 10, 2019) – The Chester County Community Foundation was proud to host the 21st Annual Gettysburg Address Contest this past weekend before the big QVC Christmas Parade. Seven “Little Lincolns” recited the Gettysburg Address atop the Lincoln Biography Building’s balcony as a crowd of family members, friends and parade-goers cheered the middle schoolers on. Thoroughbred Education and Research Foundation Awards $3,000 to Fair Hill Thoroughbred Show

The Thoroughbred Education and Research Foundation (TERF) is pleased to award the Fair Hill Thoroughbred Show $3000 to further the education of students. Fair Hill Thoroughbred Show’s mission is to encourage ownership of Thoroughbreds as sport horses by rewarding those who own and ride them in second careers.   The Fair Hill Thoroughbred show provides a welcoming horse show geared to the needs of Thoroughbreds transitioning to second careers.
