January 13, 2023 The Thoroughbred Education and Research Foundation (TERF) is pleased to award the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation (TRF) $10,000 to be used for educational purposes. TRF’s mission is to rescue ex-racehorses, no longer able to compete at the racetrack, from neglect, abuse, and slaughter. Furthermore, TRF collaborates with correctional facilities in eight states to provide vocational training to inmates who, in turn, care for horses that are not suitable for second athletic careers. THOROUGHBRED EDUCATION AND RESEARCH FOUNDATION AWARDS $4,000 TO MIDATLANTIC HORSE RESCUE

December 15, 2022 The Thoroughbred Education and Research Foundation (TERF) is pleased to award $4,000 to the MidAtlantic Horse Rescue Inc. (MAHR) for educational purposes. MAHR’s mission is to rescue thoroughbreds from feed lots and kill pens and transition horses directly off the track. After quarantine and careful evaluation, horses are adopted into loving homes as sport horses and pets. HISTORY IN THE MAKING: 23RD ANNUAL LITTLE LINCOLNS GETTYSBURG ADDRESS CONTEST

(WEST CHESTER, PA – December 6, 2022): The Chester County Community Foundation was proud to host the 23rd Annual Gettysburg Address Contest on Saturday, December 3rd at the historic Lincoln Building.
