MLK Day of Service Events 2024

Martin Luther King Jr. Day, or MLK Day, is a day to commemorate the life and work of Dr. King. Dr. King promoted nonviolent means to bring an end to racial segregation and injustice in the United States during the civil rights movement in 1955. Honoring him and all did, every third Monday in January communities are encouraged to reflect on principles of racial inequality, justice and social change. Historic Speech: The 24th Annual Gettysburg Address Contest

December 4, 2023 (West Chester, PA). The place to be before the West Chester Holiday Parade last Friday was the Historic Lincoln Building. The 24th Annual Gettysburg Address Contest included six middle school students from local West Chester schools. Amongst friends, family and parade goers below braving the rain, the Little Lincoln’s proudly recited the Gettysburg Address from the Lincoln Building balcony.
