(West Chester, PA –August 31, 2023): The Chester County Community Foundation is honoring our outgoing board member Mary Holleran. Holleran served on the Board of Directors from 2020 to 2023. Mary Holleran made many far-reaching and significant contributions to the Community Foundation. She served as a prominent member of the Community Foundation Board of Directors.
Holleran has continuously supported the Foundation’s community asset development by making connections and being an ambassador for endowed legacy philanthropy. She also served as an analyst for the Chester County Nonprofit Innovation & Resiliency Fund which brought resources to the Restore ChesCo initiative.
Mary Holleran served as a member of the Governance/Nominating Committee which targeted and cultivated candidates to secure the future of the Community Foundation via a strong Board of Directors. Holleran also served as a member of Focused Grant Panels during COVID-19 to distribute the Community Foundation’s Rapid Response Fund.
Holleran created the Mary T. Holleran Charitable Fund and made grants to many charitable causes. Holleran also made charitable donations to the Community Foundation. Not only has Holleran led by example by making charitable donations to the Foundation, but she also served as a resource and sounding board to Board members, the CEO, and Vice President.
Mary Holleran has served as a model for others through compassionate leadership, thoughtful wisdom, and an abundant generosity of spirit. The Board of Directors at the Chester County Community Foundation extends its deepest gratitude and appreciation for Mary Holleran’s many contributions.Her dedication and outstanding professional service has opened many doors to legacy and philanthropy in Chester County.
