The Thoroughbred Education and Research Foundation Welcomes Will Phipps to Board of Trustees


(West Chester, PA – July 28, 2025): The Thoroughbred Education and Research Foundation (TERF) is pleased to announce Will Phipps has joined its esteemed Board of Trustees. Will joins a Board of dedicated individuals committed to supporting Thoroughbred health and welfare by funding scholarships, educational programs, and equine research with a priority to make racing safer.

“I am deeply honored to join the TERF Board of Trustees,” said Will Phipps. “My lifelong passion for horses, has guided my career path, and I am thrilled to contribute to an organization that shares my dedication to the welfare of these magnificent animals.”

“Will is a wonderful addition to our Board of Trustees and we are grateful he has accepted our invitation to further the goals of TERF,” said Dr. Kathleen Anderson, DVM, co-chair of TERF.  Dr. Anderson’s Board Co-Chair, Dr. James Orsini, DVM notes, “Will’s exceptional background and commitment to equine care make him a valuable addition to our board. He has 30 years of equine experience ranging from elite racing operation, national equine shipping, to designing world class equine facilities.”

Will runs Phipps Equine Consulting located in West Grove, PA. His experience ranges from collaboration and management, operations, sales and growth strategies and facility design. He is eager to help TERF support its mission to provide ongoing scholarship support for veterinarian students at select colleges and universities and material support to local, regional and national organizations that promote education and research to benefit the Thoroughbred horse.
