January 6, 2023 The Thoroughbred Education and Research Foundation (TERF) is pleased to announce the awarding of $52,389 in research grants to the Foundation for the Horse. With the vision and mission of bettering the life of Thoroughbreds, TERF primarily aims to support students in pursuit of education in equine industry careers and to fund research efforts, which better the life of the Thoroughbred racehorse. December 15, 2022 The Thoroughbred Education and Research Foundation (TERF) is pleased to award $4,000 to the MidAtlantic Horse Rescue Inc. (MAHR) for educational purposes. MAHR’s mission is to rescue thoroughbreds from feed lots and kill pens and transition horses directly off the track. After quarantine and careful evaluation, horses are adopted into loving homes as sport horses and pets. In alignment with their mission to support and promote equine education, TERF offers their financial assistance in 2022. (WEST CHESTER, PA – December 6, 2022): The Chester County Community Foundation was proud to host the 23rd Annual Gettysburg Address Contest on Saturday, December 3rd at the historic Lincoln Building. Seven “Little Lincolns” dressed up as President Abraham Lincoln and recited the Gettysburg Address to a crowd of family, friends, teachers, and community members.
