The Thoroughbred Education and Research Foundation (TERF) is pleased to award the Belmont Child Care Association, Inc. (BCCA) $10,000 to be used for educational purposes. The mission of BCCA is to provide a safe, supportive, and academically inspiring environment for the children of parents working in the Thoroughbred racing backstretch area located at New York’s historic Belmont Park, Aqueduct Racetrack, and Saratoga Race Course. The Maryland Horse Foundation was chartered in 1988 by the Maryland Horse Breeders Association to serve various educational and charitable needs of the Maryland horse industry. December 9, 2021 The Thoroughbred Education and Research Foundation (TERF) is pleased to award $14,000 to the Foundation for the Horse, the charitable arm of the American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP), to be used for research entitled: “direct and indirect effects of platelet rich plasma on neutrophil stimulation.”  The Foundation for the Horse’s mission is to improve the health and welfare of the horse, to further the professional development of its members, and to provide resources and leadership for the benefit of the equine industry.
